Dr. KK Aggarwal was an Indian physician and cardiologist. A Padma Shri awardee he was a former president of the Indian Medical Association and a prominent face of the medical fraternity in the country. Given his diverse experience, he contributed a lot to the world of medical sciences in India.
Born on 5 September 1958, KK Aggarwal did his schooling in Delhi and completed his MBBS from Nagpur University. Dr. Aggarwal, a cardiologist, also headed the Heart Care Foundation of India. He received the Dr. BC Roy Award in 2005 and the Padma Shree in 2010. He was also a recipient National Science Communication Award, FICCI Health Care Personality of the Year Award, Vishwa Hindi Samman, Dr. D S Mungekar National IMA Award, and the Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award. During the Covid 19 pandemic, he made constant efforts by posting numerous videos and educational programs to educate and aware the masses about how to stay protected from the Coronavirus. His topics also include symptoms and recovery stages from this deadly virus.
Undergoing treatment for a COVID-19 infection at Delhi's AIIMS hospital Dr. Aggarwal passed on 17th May 2021. He was 62.
